BRITTANY WESTBROOK
Welcome,
My name is Brittany
I am a designer in Seattle, currently designing men's sportswear for Nordstrom Product Group. In my role, I focus on designing product with excellent craftsmanship and spend time researching trends and creating garments that are relevant to our brand’s character. I build extensive tech packs with detailed sketches and call outs, and work closely with tech design and product development to design high quality product.
Previously, I worked at Tommy Bahama, designing men’s woven shirts, and I worked directly with the in-house art department to create one of a kind artwork for prints and embroideries, which I then colored to fit our seasonal palette. In addition to our mainline styles, I designed product for the collaboration between Tommy Bahama and Disney which is sold in Tommy Bahama stores, as well as separate men’s and women’s collections which are specially designed for Disney’s Parks, Cruise Lines, and Resorts.
Before Tommy Bahama, I designed my own women's wear collection which was shown at Kansas City Fashion Week. It gave me a fantastic opportunity to explore as a designer, from concepting to creating the line myself. In 2017, I interned for Randi Rahm, a couture designer in NYC, where I received hands on experience in every aspect of the design and production process. In college, I interned for a local wedding dress designer in Kansas, which focused on construction and learning how to take someone else’s dream dress and turning it into reality.
