About Me
Hello and thank you for visiting my portfolio! Art has always been a passion of mine, in all of its various forms. Through the years I was able to find where my passion lies through the exploration of different art forms and finding my way to design. This path led me to the decision that I wanted to be a part of the fantastic fashion industry. I pursued a Bachelor of Science in Apparel and Textiles with a specialization in design and production from Kansas State University. It was during my time there I was able to explore both the creative and technical aspects of the design process. My time at school also gave me the opportunity to visit the artisans of Italy and intern for a couture designer in New York, studying under many pioneers of the fashion industry. I was able to showcase my work while in school, winning a first place award for my sewing and craftsmanship.
In 2019 I was excited to show my first collection at Kansas City Fashion Week. I created an original line, specializing in women's wear, designing clothes for the everyday woman trying to make a statement while feeling her best. I find inspiration in the women who surround me, and I hope to inspire them to keep telling their stories while feeling great doing so.
Currently I work for Tommy Bahama in Seattle, WA as an Associate Designer in Men’s Shirts. It’s been a great opportunity to test my skills and provides an exciting workplace that focuses on staying true to our customer and getting to explore with color and print while developing top class products for a lifestyle inspired brand.
I am always looking for new opportunities for growth and believe there is always a chance to learn more. I strive to create quality and imaginative clothing while staying attuned to current trends and reducing waste. I believe everyone should feel comfortable and confident in the pieces they wear, and enjoy creating items with inclusivity and style in mind.
